A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 14 at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Interment will be held at a later date.

Obituary:
Anthony N. Cocchia Sr., age 83 of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Rose (Malagise) Cocchia for 57 years, died on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Cambridge Manor in Fairfield, with his family by his side. Born in Norwalk, Mr. Cocchia was a plumber for 48 years and was the owner of A. Cocchia & Sons. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Navy, Seabees-Naval Construction Battalion. Anthony used to play in the St. Ann Band, he was an avid Mets fan, and was a team sponsor for the West Norwalk Little League.
He is survived by his loving wife Rose and 5 children: Michael John Cocchia, Donna Mathieson, Mary Ann Allen and her husband David, Lisa Bassett and her husband Bob, and Anthony N. Cocchia Jr., 7 Grandchildren: Brett and Erin Mathieson, Corry Bassett-Wheeler, Shauna and Jenna Bassett, Kalyn and Kensye Cocchia, as well as 3 Great-Grandchildren: Alyssa Mathieson, Delanie and Emerson Wheeler and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother Leonard Cocchia and a sister Antoinette Harjes.
