Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, May 12, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk. Graveside services will be held Friday, 11am at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Memorial donations may be made to: Norwalk Senior Center, 11 Allen Rd, Norwalk, CT 06851. Obituary: Rita Paolino Alcock, age 80 of Norwalk, wife of the late John W, Alcock Sr., died on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at her home. Born in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Wood) Paolino , she worked for SNET as a service representative. A devoted grandmother and a great chef, Mrs. Alcock was also an avid Mets fan, and enjoyed attending NY Mets games with her family. She also loved babies and dogs, lavishing much attention on them. She is survived by her loving children: Margaret Alcock Prezzano and her husband John of Ridgefield, and John W. Alcock Jr., and his wife Ellen of Norwalk, a cherished grandson John W. Alcock III, and beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sisters: Marie Coppola and Bette DiTullio.
