James A. Cunningham - age: 89
(November 30, 1921 to May 26, 2011 ) Resident of Norwalk, Connecticut Visitation Information: Services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 11:30 AM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, with Rev. John Livingston officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The Cunningham family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until services begin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the D.A.V. Obituary: Obituary for Saturday, May 28 James A, Cunningham, age 89, of Norwalk, died peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was the husband of the late Marian Hill Cunningham. Born in Norwalk on November 30, 1921, Mr. Cunningham was the son of the late James G. and Ella Magee Cunningham and has lived in Norwalk all of his life as a 13th generation Norwalker. He was a graduate of Norwalk High School, Class of 1939, and served his country during WW II in the U.S. Army 8th Air Force, stationed in Europe. He was the former owner of Cunningham Motors in Norwalk and enjoyed spending his free time listening to music from his youth. Survivors include two sons, James R. Cunningham of Norwalk and John D. Cunningham of Colorado, a daughter Joan Perry of Danbury, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
