Obituary:
Ellen R. Cunningham, age 67 of Stratford, died on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at CT Hospice, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Bethel, NC, the daughter of the late Lafayette and Irene (Mullins) Little, she was a longtime resident of Norwalk and worked many years at Elinco Inc., followed by a career in caring for the elderly working at Elder House then Ludlow Commons where she retired this past Feb. Finding great joy in praising God, Mrs. Cunningham was a longtime member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, then East End Tabernacle up until her illness confined her to worshiping at home for the past year. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, and listening to Gospel music. As a program coordinator at Ludlow Commons, she enjoyed coordinating day trips and activities for her residents better known as her friends.
She is survived by her daughter Robin Little and her fiance’ Kenyon Bowman of Stratford, 4 brothers; Wilbert (Faye) Little and William Little of N.C, Willie Little, Earl (Mable) Little of Norwalk, sisters Dorothy (Lenel) Brown of Philadelphia, PA, and Gaynielle (Daniel) Pettway of Bethel, NC, and several nieces and nephews, including Margie (Brian) McCready, Crystal (Terrence) Miller, Chase Stevens, and Corey Razor; her best friend Annette Jamison and God-daughter LaTasha Jamison. She was predecease by her sister and brother–in-law Margaret and James Roberson.
