Funeral services will be held at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Friday, 10 AM, with Rev. Gregory Errgong-Weider officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Margaret’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 PM.

Obituary:
Margaret E. (Hoyt) Bardos

Margaret E. Bardos, age 85 and a lifelong resident of East Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Tuesday. She was the wife of Daniel E. Bardos for 59 years. Margaret was born in East Norwalk on June 14, 1925, daughter of the late Frank George Hoyt and Margaret Elizabeth Eldridge Hoyt. She attended local schools and had worked for Pepperidge Farm and Stafford & Higgins. Margaret was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Besides enjoying the role of grandmother, she had a number of hobbies, which included sewing, crocheting and camping with her family. In later years she loved to be near the ocean and spend much of her time at her home in Cape Cod.
In addition to her husband, Margaret is also survived by her two sons, their wives and grandchildren, Robert and Wendy Bardos of Norwalk, Bruce and Ruth Bardos of Old Saybrook, a sister Marion Bates of Norwalk, 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Beau, Isabella Bardos of Norwalk and Briana and Alexis Bardos of Old Saybrook. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Margaret was also predeceased by her siblings Frank, Charles and Horace Hoyt, and Ruth Goggins.
