In addition, she served the community as administrator of the Norwalk Community Garden. In her later years, she lived at the Laura Raymond Homes, a senior citizens’ home where she took care of the flower garden. In March 2003, Ina reached her ninetieth birthday and a wide cross-section of friends and family gathered to celebrate her life. After she suffered a stroke she had to relocate to the Honey Hill Nursing Home. No longer active, her friends kept in touch with her, visiting with her in the nursing home. Her family maintained contact via the telephone and, from time to time, short visits. Magner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
