She did not get the wake and funeral that she intended and prepaid for. also, the increase in fees just over a year was ridiculous. Michael went so far as to help secure a wonderful resource to create my mom's headstone and worked well within my budget to secure a handsome casket. The Magner Family was dedicated to customer service and, even when conversing by phone, presented genuine concern and kindess. They went so far as to find pallbearerers to carry the casket from hearse to grave, which was quite a feat in these times of Covid-19, when no more than five mourners were allowed to attend the funeral in person. My wife died at Regional Hospice after a 10 day stay, 4 months after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. At her request there was no funeral or burial. Rather she was cremated & her ashes returned to me. The people at Magner were totally understanding, sympathetic & acceded to my requests. They picked her body up in Danbury, had her cremated & returned her ashes along with death certificates & other necessary paperwork to me in a timely manner. This was a seamless process at a difficult time for me. The several people I dealt with were so very nice & compassionate. I highly recommend Magner when ever funeral arrangements are needed.

Not thinking clearly, I opted out of a military service that I knew my husband wanted. After crying for a week, my daughter in law called the funeral home and they were happy to help. My only suggestion would be to have families add extra $ when pre-arranging for newspaper, notices, and flowers.

Recently I had an experience with Magner Funeral Home. And Melissa was a great help to me. This was my first time I had to do everything on my own. My mother had passed away suddenly and it was time for me to take the reins. Melissa was there for me. She helped me through everything I needed to do.
