July 12, 1930 ~ July 19, 2015 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Agnes (Senese) Arena, 85, of Trumbull, CT passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, July 19, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

 She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore J. Arena Sr.  She leaves her son, Salvatore Arena, Jr. and his wife, Joanne Orme, her grandsons Daniel Arena and his fiancé, Holly Cedro, Jonathan Arena and his wife, Laura Arena, her sister, Theresa Anastasia and many extended family and friends.

 Born and raised in Norwalk, CT, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Carmella (Giugnino) Senese.

 Agnes graduated from Norwalk High School. She was a skilled assembly worker for most of her life and worked for several Norwalk companies including: The South Norwalk Boat Club, Norwalk Lock during WWII, Trudy Toys, Richmond Engineering, Burndy Corp., The Boy Scouts of America, MBI and CoachWorks.

 Over the years, Agnes and Sal participated in many events with the Catholic War Veterans, the Sons of Italy and the Knight of Columbus organizations.

 Agnes cherished her family. She often reminisced about her childhood and close family ties, her wonderful life with her husband and son, and especially the treasured times that she spent with her two beautiful grandsons. She had many friends and acquaintances at the Teresian Towers in Trumbull where she lived for the past three years. She was also an avid Yankee Fan who never missed a pitch whether it was on TV or on her transistor radio. Most of all, she was a gentle, kind and loving person who always put a smile on the face of everyone she met.

 Family and friends can pay their respects at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. in Norwalk, on Wednesday, July 22, between the hours of 5PM and 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthew's Church, 216 Scribner Ave. in Norwalk on Thursday, July 23, at 10AM followed by an internment at St. John's Cemetery in Norwalk, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk
