Catherine I. (Marino) Mones

     Catherine Marino Mones, age 89 of Norwalk, died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 20.  She was the wife of the late Aaron Jerome Mones.  Catherine was born in Norwalk on January 4, 1928, the daughter of the late Antonio and Rosalia Marino.  She took great pride in maintaining her home and taking care of her family and she will be dearly missed.

     Survivors include her daughter, Cathy R. Mones with whom she resided, sons Mark Mones and wife Kim Calzone Mones of Stamford, Craig Mones and wife LaJean Frieden Mones of Easton, her sister Anna Iannaccone of Norwalk, grandchildren Dusty and wife Kylie Mones, Jordy Mones, Ryan and wife Karen Mones, and Brittany Mones, and several nieces and nephews.  Catherine was also predeceased by her brother Charles Marino.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 25, 10 AM at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Pl., Norwalk, with entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery.  Catherine’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Thursday from 5-8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.donate.cancer.org/) or the American Heart Assoc. (www.heart.org/).
