Dominick A. Pollastro

Dominick A. Pollastro, age 91, of Norwalk, died on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Norwalk the son of the late Alexander and Rose (Muro) Pollastro, he was the loving husband of the late Marion McNerney Pollastro. He served in the US Army during World War II and worked as a machinist in the Printing Industry. Dominick was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Norwalk Senior Center. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and boating. He positively adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took great pride in them.
Survived by his children; Donna Olmstead of Norwalk, Karen Giannitti and her husband George of Norwalk and Eugene Pollastro and his wife Jennifer of Bethel, 10 loving grandchildren and 2 cherished great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Benjamin Olmstead.
His family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 30th  from 4 – 7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Tues. Dec 1 at St. Jerome Church. Burial with military honors will follow at St. John Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to: St Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd, Norwalk, CT 06851.
