Donna Marie (Carboni) Cutrone

September 9, 1949 ~ May 23, 2017 (age 67) 67 Years Old

 

Our beloved Donna Marie, 67, of Norwalk, CT passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 after a 9-month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was surrounded by her loving family.  Donna was born on September 9, 1949 in Norwalk to the late Fausto & Catherine Peretti Carboni.  Donna was a lifelong resident of Norwalk.  She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Bridgeport University.  She was an active member of St. Philip Church and St. Ann Club in Norwalk.  Donna was a Realtor for 35 years and owned Diversified Reality with her husband of 48 years, Pat J. Cutrone.  She worked for the past several years at William Raveis in Norwalk.

Donna was a loving and caring soulmate to her husband, an affectionate and devoted mother to her two children, Gina M. Franco of Trumbull, CT and Christopher J. Cutrone and his wife Cathy of Dolores, Co.   She is also survived by her mother in law, Justine Cutrone of Norwalk.  She was a gentle and loving “Nina” to her four grandchildren, Julia, Ryan, Tyler and Kristina.  She was a best friend and loving sister to Maureen Garry and her husband Brian, her nephew Brian Garry and his wife Jenna and baby Harlyn, and nephew Connor Garry, Sky Ricco and their son Wayne.  She was loved dearly by her best friend pup, Joy Bella.  She is also survived by many cousins, extended family and friends near and far.

Donna loved to garden and plant flowers.  She was a talented baker and Italian cook.  She loved to entertain in her beautiful home with family and friends.  She enjoyed sewing and reading. 

Donna and Pat enjoyed a second home in Islamorada, Florida for over 35 years and have made many close friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to all the care givers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in Harrison, NY.  The Miami Cancer Institute in south Florida, Mariners Hospital in Islamorada, Florida, Norwalk Hospital, Bright Star Home Care and Connecticut Hospice of Fairfield County.

Calling hours will be from 4–8 PM at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk on Thursday, May 25.  The St. Ann Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 7:00pm.  A celebratory Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Philip Church, 25 France Street, Norwalk, at 10:30am on Friday, May 26, 2017.   Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Norwalk.
