Frank P. Loiewski, Sr., age 87 of Weston, died suddenly at his home on Sunday, August 21. He was the husband of the late Rose D’Agostino Loiewski who passed in 1975. Frank was born in Norwalk on November 18, 1928, the son of the late Stanley and Catherine Loiewski, and has lived in Weston for most of his life. He was a graduate of Norwalk High School and served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Frank worked as a salesman for most of his life with Skodco and then for Turn of the River Hardware in Stamford. He was a member of the Polish-American Club in Norwalk, was very involved with St. Francis of Assisi Church in Weston and was extremely devoted to his family.
Survivors include his children Maria R. Loiewski of West Haven, Frank P. Loiewski, Jr. and his wife Wajee of Weston, Diane Weir and her husband Mark of San Diego, CA and Linda R. Loiewski of Hamden, 3 grandchildren, Lauren, Jacqueline and Catherine Weir, his sister Julie Walley and, many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother Walter and sisters Helen and Stella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 25, 10 AM at St. Frances of Assisi Church, 35 Norfield Rd., Weston. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk. There are no visiting hours.
