Helen C. (Peck) Johnson

     Helen C. Johnson, age 90 of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Friday, August 26 after a brief illness.  She was the wife of the late Leslie E. Johnson.  Helen was born in Norwalk on February 15, 1926, the daughter of the late George and Julia Roberts Peck.  She attended Norwalk schools and was retired from Decker’s Men’s Store.  Helen was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.  She looked forward to weekly family dinners at Uncle Joe’s Restaurant and loved her family dearly.

     Survivors include two daughters, Wendy L. Nuro of Norwalk, Kathy A. Daniell and her husband Bruce of Bethel, 2 grandsons Matthew F. Nuro and Michael L. Nuro and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was predeceased by her son-in-law Frank T. Nuro, her brother George Peck and sister Dorothy Novak.

     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 10:30 AM at the United Congregational Church, 275 Richards Ave., Norwalk with Rev Holly Adams officiating.  Family and friends will meet at church and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.  Helens family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Monday from 4-7 PM
