Helena Tomasiewicz

Helena Tomasiewicz, age 89 passed away on Monday September 7, 2015.  Helena was born in Poland on November 18, 1925 to the late Jan and Zofia  ( Wojtowicz) Mirowski.  She lived in Norwalk, Connecticut for most of her adult life.

                She was the wife of the late Henry Tomasiewicz and the late Stanley Jarzabek.  She worked as a nurse in Africa before coming to America.  When she came to the United States, she worked at Electrolux and Pitney Bowes.

                Helena is survived by a son Henry Tomasiewicz, his wife Kerrie, daughters, Marie Wern and her husband Michael, Isabelle Regan and her husband Gary, and Barbara Raschke and her husband David, sisters-in-law Helen Wapiennik and Janina Mirowski, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

                A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10 AM in St. Philip Church, 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk, with Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk. Calling hours will take place on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Helena’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter 607 Main Avenue, Norwalk. 06851 or to another Alzheimer's charity of your choice.
