Irene S. (Szeles) Breault

Irene S. Breault, age 84, of Norwalk, beloved wife of the late Jean Marc Breault, passed away at home on Saturday July 15, 2017 surrounded by her family.  Irene was born at home in Norwalk on December 2, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Szeles.

Irene worked at Slavitt, Connery & Vardamis for forty years and later for Raymond Wennik at Flower Estates.  She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Ladislaus Church where she was a trustee, sang in the choir and was always very involved in church functions and activities.  She was a past president of the South Norwalk Columbiettes Aux. 1253 and the St. Anne's Society.

Irene is survived by her sister, Margaret Bonenfant of Norwalk, daughter, Anne Sohon of Milford, son, Marc and his wife Karen of Stamford, son-in-law Peter BarenBregge of Upper Marlboro, MD; nine grandchildren, Emily BarenBregge Golike (Jon), Alex BarenBregge, Carol Sohon Taylor (TJ), Lisa BarenBregge, Julie Sohon, Mary Sohon, Lucas, Tyler and Teddy Breault and one great-granddaughter, Avery Jean Taylor, six-weeks-old; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Irene was predeceased by her daughter, Marcia BarenBregge.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017. at 10 AM at St. Ladislaus Church, 25 Cliff St., Norwalk with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 21 from 5 to 8 PM at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ladislaus Church or The Whittingham Cancer Center, 34 Maple Street, Norwalk, CT 06856.
