December 11, 1955 ~ March 1, 2015 (age 59) 59 Years Old

James Charles Hutchinson Jr., age 59 of Norwalk, loving husband of Debbie (Stewart) Hutchinson for 35 years, died at Norwalk Hospital on March 1, 2015.  Born in Stamford, the son of James C. and Doris (Taylor) Hutchinson, Sr. , he was raised in New Canaan and was the general manager at the Shore and Country Club. A graduate of Central Catholic H.S.- Class of 1973 and Central CT State College- Class or 1978, James was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Norwalk Catholic Club, and the Knights Templar. A longtime member of St. Matthew Parish, Jim was an instructor, teaching a hospitality course at Norwalk Community College, as well as NRA Classes. As a youth, he was a Mulkerin Irish dancer, having danced at Carnegie Hall as well as in Ireland.

In addition to his loving wife Debbie, and his parents James and Doris, of Hudson, FL,  Jim is survived by his son James Charles Hutchinson III and daughter Courtney Lynn Hutchinson, all of Norwalk, 3 sisters Sharon Louise Halstead and her husband Mark of Fairfield, Maureen Ann Bundick and her husband Terry of CA, Tracey Lynn Hutchinson of CO, a brother Kevin John Hutchinson and his wife Estella of OH, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, March 6, at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, (Friends are requested to meet directly at Church) with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8 at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.  Memorial donations may be directed to: The Shriners Children’s Hospital, 855-401-4897, www.shrinerschildrenshospital.org, or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Stjude.org) 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, NY, NY 10122.
