John Paul Kordon

     John Paul Kordon, age 81 of Cudjoe Key, FL and Weston CT, passed away at the Norwalk Hospital on Monday, August 31, 2015.  John was the loving husband for 59 years of Helen Fehr Kordon.  John was born in Jamaica, Queens, NY, the son of the late Heinrich E. Kordon and the late Paula Pruefer Kordon.  He served as an MP in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a retired policeman with the Nassau County Police Dept. in NY.

     John is also survived by his son, John Kordon and his wife Karen, daughters Helen Knudsen and her husband Roger, and Amy Sowers and her husband Marvin, five loving grandchildren Jonathan, Benjamin, Grace, Daniel and Abigail, and many nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4, 1:30 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.  Burial with full military honors will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport.  John’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 3, from 5-8 PM.
