John O. “Jack” Och, age 80 and husband of the late Else Tonnesen Och, died peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2016, at the V.A. Medical Center in West Haven. Jack was born in Norwalk on November 1, 1935, the son of the late Otto and Bridget Torpey Och. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for many years as an Awning Cutter for Fitzgerald-Norwalk Awning. He was a life member of the American Legion, Post 12, enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a race car fan.
Jack is survived his son John J. Och and his wife Jodi, his daughter Barbara L. Fedumenti and her husband Chris, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Mats and Johnny, all of Stratford, his sister Sharon Och of Shelton and several nieces and nephews. John was also predeceased by his brother Richard.
Jack’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Thursday, June 9, from 6-8 PM. Burial with full military honors will be held on Friday, June 10, 11 AM at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk.
