Joyce Evelyn (Davis) Field

      Joyce Evelyn Field, of Redding CT and beloved wife of Charles Raymond Field, died peacefully at her home after a brief illness.  She was 87.  Joyce was born on February 12, 1930 in Bethlehem, PA, the daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn (Kresge) Davis.  She worked for many years as a secretary, first for American Cyanamid and later for the First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, of which she and her family are members.  She was also a member of the Redding Country Club and the Redding Garden Club.  She enjoyed gardening, reading and playing bridge, but most of all spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

     In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her loving children: Debbie Hoffmann of Bethel, Barbara Field and her partner Margaret Diehl of Huntington, NY and Darrell Field and his wife Nancy of Bend, OR.  Also surviving are her brother Robert Davis of Bradenton, FL, her three special grandchildren Matthew Hoffmann of Stamford, CT, Rachel Johnson and her husband Nate, and Eric Field, all of Bend, OR, as well as many nieces and nephews.
