December 24, 1931 ~ February 22, 2015 (age 83) 83 Years Old

     Konstantinos “Gus” A. Saltourides, age 83, of Naugatuck, passed away at Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck on Sunday, February 22, 2015.  He was the husband of the late Mary Frances Navarro Saltourides.  Gus was born on December 24, 1931 in Kozani, Greece, the son of the late Anastasios and Eleni Lafazanides Saltourides. He moved to the U.S. in 1956 and one by one he brought his brothers and sisters to the U.S. to provide a better life for them.  He worked for Nash Engineering in South Norwalk for several years before going into the restaurant business with his brother Lazaros.  Gus was the former owner of the White Colony Diner in Waterbury and the Twin Colony Diner in Torrington.  He had a passion for flying and loved attending air shows.  Gus was also very devoted to and very supportive of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Norwalk.

     Gus is survived by his son Anastasios “Andy” Saltourides of Waterbury, his daughter Palasa “Polly” Saltourides Masulli and her husband Mark of Derby, three brothers, John, Lazaros and Christos, five sisters, Anatoli, Parthena, Paraskevi, Despina and Irene, a step-granddaughter Gabrielle Masulli and many nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 10 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Rd., Norwalk, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Wednesday from 4-7 PM, with a Trisagion Service to be held at 5 PM.
