Lena N. (Rubino) Sansouci

     Lena N. Sansouci, age 92 of Norwalk, died peacefully at Fairview Health of Southport after a long illness.  She was the loving wife of William F. Sansouci, Jr. of Norwalk.  Lena was born in South Norwalk on March 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Michael and Rosa Ventrella Rubino.  She was retired from the Norwalk Hour where she worked for 20 years and prior to that was in the catering business, Sansouci of Westport.  Lena was a member of the Sons of Italy, enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and loved animals.

     Survivors also include two children, William Sansouci, III of East Stroudsburg, PA, and Karen Bixby (Jeffrey) of Schoharie,Ny and many nieces and nephews.  Lena was also predeceased by her siblings Philomena, Rocco, Peter, Angelo, Dominick and Antoinette.

     A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 16, 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.  There are no visiting hours.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Lena’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 70 New Canaan Ave., Norwalk, CT 06850 (www.alz.org/ct) or to CT Hospice, 1 Park St., Norwalk, 06851.
