Marjorie "Marge" (Riley) Owens

     Marjorie R. “Marge” (Riley) Owens, age 72 of Norwalk, died peacefully at her home on Friday, September 23.  She was the loving wife of Robert V. Owens for 48 years.  Marge was born in Norwalk on March 17, 1944, the daughter of the late Robert and Elinor (Wilson) Riley.  She was a graduate of Norwalk High School and was retired from Automation Associates where she had worked as Office Manager for 40 years.  Marge was very involved with and devoted to Christ Episcopal Church in East Norwalk where she held many positions including treasurer.  Marge and Bob enjoyed many activities together including sporting clay shooting, cross country trips and their dogs Katie and Rosie.  Marge loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, going to the beach and lighthouses.   Marge was loved by all that knew her.  Her giving nature to anyone in need was endless.  She will be truly missed.

     Marge was predeceased by her first son John Mitchell Owens in 2001.  She is survived by her sons David Owens, his wife Lena and their daughter Alyssa of Norwalk, James “Jamie” Owens, his wife Kelly and their children Patrick and Caitlin of Derby, and her granddaughter Tara Leite.  Marge is also survived by her siblings Ellen Schneider of FL, Annette Wadleigh of MA, Robert Riley, Jr. of TX, Thomas Riley and Jackie Hutchings, both of New Fairfield, and many nieces and nephews.

     Memorial services for Marge will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 2:00PM at Christ Episcopal Church, 2 Emerson St., East Norwalk, CT, 06855.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the church.
