Mary "Zizi Matt" Scapeccia

Mary  “Zizi Matt” Scapeccia, age 92 of Norwalk, died on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Norwalk, she was the daughter of the late Ulderico and Marianna (D’Avanzo) Scapeccia.

Mary enjoyed caring for others, vacationing at the beach and gathering with her friends. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend to many. Her love of cooking gathered us all together, and above all, she loved her family the most.

She is survived by her sisters Jeanne Gall, Palma Breisler and Virginia Mirabelli, and granddaughter: Marianne Dombroski, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Louis Dombroski and her brothers Frank and Joe Scapeccia.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, March 19 at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave, Norwalk, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.
