Mary Rose Sizensky

Mary Rose Sizensky, 99, lifelong resident of Norwalk, died on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Center, Trumbull.  Born in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Stephen and Eva (Vajda) Markus, she was the wife of the late Frank A. Sizensky.  In her youth, Mary worked in the family laundry business, The Hat Corporation and Sperry-Rand before turning her energies to raising her family. She was a patriot, a devout Catholic and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children,  Eric Sizensky and his wife Rondi of Trumbull, John Sizensky of Norwalk and Marna Lombardo and her husband Frank of Fairfield, daughters-in-law Eva Sizensky, Deridre Sizensky and Rebecca White, loving grandchildren: Brian (wife Vera) Sizensky, Sarah Sizensky, Anastasia Sizensky, Michael Lombardo, Stephen Sizensky, Peter (wife Lisa) Sizensky and Shannon Sizensky, Jennifer Anderson and William Sizensky, and step grandchild Debbie White, great-grandchildren: Lena, Terah, Jacob, Graye, Connor and a much anticipated great-great grandchild, as well as beloved nieces, Janet, Joan and Judy, and their families.  Mary was predeceased by 2 sons, Frank and William, daughter-in-law Donna Sizensky as well as 2 brothers and a sister.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, June 27 from 9:30-10:30AM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Prayer Services to begin at 10:30, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.  Throughout her life Mary supported many causes close to her heart, especially to those benefiting military veterans, children and animal causes, therefore memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
