Peter P. Wisniewski

    Peter P. Wisniewski, age 69 of Norwalk, died suddenly on Tuesday, September 1.  He was the loving husband for 43 years of Judy Eisenman Wisniewski.  Peter was born on May 18, 1946 in Hoboken, NJ, the son of the late Joseph and Lucille Wisniewski.  He was a dual-sport athlete and Class of 1915 award winner at the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

    From his time as a star player for Weehawken High School on top of the Lincoln Tunnel to the courts of Shore and Country and course at Oak Hills, Peter satisfied his love of sports. He was also a voracious reader and a lifelong Yankee fan. Often heard before seen, his big personality will be greatly missed.

     In addition to his wife Judy, Peter is survived by his children; Abigail Callahan and her husband Robert of Milton, MA, Peter A. Wisniewski and his wife Christina of New York City and Jed Wisniewski of Norwalk. Cherished youngest brother of Theresa Kelly (deceased), Joseph Wisniewski, Lucy Sabato and Barbara DeLorenzo. “Gramps” is also survived by his grandchildren Eliza, Sam, Sara, Peter, Meredith and Aleksandr, and many nieces and nephews. 

     Peter’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Saturday, September 5 from 11 AM to 2 PM, with a prayer service at 12 noon.  Private burial will follow at a later date.
