Raymond J. Fitzpatrick, Jr.

Raymond J. Fitzpatrick Jr., age 60 of Norwalk and formerly of East Hartford, died suddenly on August 27 at home. Born in Hartford, the son of Ann (Hicks) Beas of Manchester and the late Raymond Sr., he was the loving husband of Abelina “Abby” (Atencio) Fitzpatrick for 19 years. Ray served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and worked as a Dell Field Service Technician at St. Vincent’s Hospital for the past 3 years. He and his family had lived in Las Cruces, NM, Baltimore and Dallas before moving to Norwalk. He enjoyed cooking, football – especially the Baltimore Ravens, cold beer and his dog BB. In addition to his wife and mother, Ray is also survived by his children; Renee Suber and husband Scott, of Albuquerque, NM, Raymond L. Fitzpatrick of Denver, CO, and Reba Baros-Ochoa and husband Jovani of Dallas, TX, 4 grandchildren: Marlee, Jordyn, Aidan and Tony, 5 siblings: Michael Fitzpatrick, Mary Ellen Fitzpatrick, Debbie Duszyk, Laurie Marsh and James Fitzpatrick, mother-in-law Nelda Getman, nephew Blaine Hillburn and numerous other loving relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 1 at 10:30 am at St. Rose’s Church in East Hartford with committal service to follow at Hillstown Cemetery, Manchester.
