Riccardo Messina

Riccardo Messina, age 94, husband of the late Adele (Ambrosoni Messina) passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in Norwalk Hospital. Riccardo was born in Conza, Italy on March 5, 1920, son of the late Salvatore and Carmella (Filomina) Messina. He was a tailor for many years. Riccardo also served in the Italian Army during WW II and was held as a prisoner of war for 5 years.

Riccardo is survived by a sister, Gilda Li of Aliso Viejo, California as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 27, 2015

At 9:30 AM at St. Mary Church, 669 West Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Riccardo’s family will receive friends on Thursday February 26, 2015 from 4 to 6 PM at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.
