Richard J. Hoyt

Richard J. Hoyt, age 93 of Norwalk, died on Monday, Sept 26, 2016 at his home. Born in Norwalk, the son of the late Richard S. and Sarah (Clark) Hoyt, he was the husband of the late Phyllis (Boerum) Hoyt, and is predeceased by 2 daughters: Melanie Ann Hoyt and Shelley L. Saddler. He served in the US Army Air Force and received his degree from Columbia University. He was a former owner of Orem’s Dairy in Wilton and a marketing representative for IBM. He is survived by his sister  Jean Webb and her husband Clifford, Son-in-law Fritz Saddler, granddaughter Ashley Saddler, and nieces Eustacia Judd and her husband Bruce and Marcia Geike and her husband Peter as well as other loving relatives.His family will receive friends on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 8:30-9:30AM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, with services to be held at 10AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 2 Emerson St. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
