Rose M. (Cappiello) Kirouac

Rose M. Kirouac, age 87, of Norwalk, died Friday, Feb 27, 2015 at Notre Dame Rehab Center. Born in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Grecco) Cappiello, Rose was the wife of the late Ralph Kirouac Sr.  She was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, but recently joined St. Jerome Parish. She was very active in her church groups, serving as past president of the St Thomas Rosary Society, the  Msgr. Finn Columbiettes- # 46, and District Deputy for Tri-State Columbiettes, She volunteered for St Vincent DePaul Society, St. Ann’s  Women’s Auxiliary, St. Jerome’s Women’s Guild and Bible Study Group.

A devoted family woman, she is survived by her loving daughter Maria "Sue" Cappadona and her husband Rusty and beloved son, Ralph Kirouac Jr. and his wife Michelle. She lived for her family, especially her 4 beloved grandchildren; Tanner, Matthew, Ryan and Tyler.  She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her 4 brothers, James, Frank, Charles and John.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Wed. March 4, at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM  (The South Norwalk Columbiettes Auxiliary # 1253 will meet at 6pm, St. Anns Club at 7pm) at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk.
