Sal DeLise

     Sal DeLise, age 88 of Norwalk, died at the Norwalk Hospital on Wednesday December 7.  He was the husband of the late Rose Caimi DeLise.  Sal was born in Bethlehem, PA on October 3, 1928 and is also predeceased by his parents Antonio and Anna Randazzo DeLise and five siblings. Sal was raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Norwalk in 1960.  He was the owner of Apollo Negative Service which he operated for 35 years.  Sal loved gardening and reading, especially science fiction.  He was an accomplished painter, an avid Mets fan and loved all things Egyptian.  Sal was also a former member of the St. Ann Club.  He loved his family and will be dearly missed.

     Survivors include his children and their spouses; Jacqueline T. DeLise of East Norwalk, Antonio L. and Lori DeLise of Easton, Vito J. and Amanda DeLise of Stratford, and Janine A. Deering of Norwalk, his sister Frances Plumb and her husband Larry of Fresno, CA, his 8 grandchildren Abigail, Amelia, Samuel, Jennie Rose, Margaret, Jack, Emma and Sophie Rose, and many nieces and nephews.

     Sal’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Saturday, December 10, from 10 AM until 1 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN, 38105.
