Theresa "Teddie" Barber

Theresa "Teddi" Barber, age 92 of Norwalk, Connecticut passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2017. Born the daughter of the late John and Josephine Milazzo Barber in Norwalk, Connecticut. She is predeceased by a sister Joan Barber and brother Micheal Barber. In addition she is survived by her sister-in-law Virginia Gilbertie Barber, nephew Michael Barber Jr. and his wife Ilona, niece Gail Barber-Reed and her husband Edward, nephew John Barber and his wife Moira, and niece Sharon Vuoso and her husband John; and five great nieces and nephews. 

Teddi graduated from Norwalk High School in 1941 then attended Merrill Business School. She first worked for Norwalk Hospital and then went on to become a bank teller and manager of several banks in Norwalk and Darien including Union Trust. She enjoyed spending time in Florida, traveling, and entertaining her family and friends at her home in Norwalk. 

There will be no public viewing hours, however, a funeral service will be held at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk, CT on Friday, January 13 at 11:00. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice, P.O. Box 489, Wilton, CT, 06897.
