Lilliette Brown Obituary

Lilliette S. Brown of Norwalk, CT, passed away on April 5, 2024 at Brightview on New Canaan with her sons and sisters present. Born on September 27, 1930 in Auburn, Maine, the daughter of Leon Berube and Blanche (Dionne) Berube.
Lil, or Lily, as her friends at Brightview called her, moved to Stamford, CT in 1951, made it her home and raised her four sons before becoming office manager with Metropolitan Life Insurance. Lilliette loved to paint later in life and shared her passion at every holiday. Lilliette also volunteered at the Sisters of Notre Dame where she became an associate of which she was very proud.
She was predeceased by her parents, son Richard, sister Gilda Berube, brother’s Richard Berube and Raymond Berube, brothers-in-law Roger Burns and Richard Lavoie and a niece Rena Berube.
Lilliette is survived by her sons Charles Brown (Karen), Dennis Brown (Sherri), Martin Brown (Lucy), daughter in-law Janet Brown, her sisters Pauline Burns, Priscilla Lavoie, brother Gerald Berube (Liette), sister in-law Pat Berube, 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Brightview on New Canaan for all of the care, help and friendship they provided for their mother.
As per Lilliette’s request there will be no visiting hours.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday April 10, 2024 at St Jerome’s Church 23 Half Mile Rd Norwalk at 11:00 am. Inurnment to follow at St John’s Cemetery 223 Richards Ave Norwalk.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to St Judes or your favorite charity.
