Thomas Robert Tonini

Thomas Robert Tonini, age 79 of Norwalk, died on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at his home. Born in Norwalk, the son of Robert and Lucia (Napoleone) Tonini, he was a lifelong resident and had worked as a tile setter.  When he wasn’t tinkering around with projects around the house and yard, he enjoyed spending time on Long Island Sound, fishing and clamming. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Eagles Club.

He is survived by his children; Darrick Tonini and his partner George of CA, Sonja Blodgett and her husband Kenneth of Lowell, VT, and Laurenda Tonini of Norwalk, 6 grandchildren; Jesse, D.J. , Jaclyn, Angela, Amanda and Martina; 3 great-grandchildren, Lily, Barsun Jr., and Xia, as well as a sister Christine Grenier, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb 15 from 6-8 pm at the Magner Funeral Home for a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to: the Norwalk Hospital Foundation, 34 Maple Street, Norwalk, CT 06856.
