Ann Marie McGuire, age 77 and beloved wife of Gerald A. McGuire, died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, June 12. Ann was born on January 12, 1941, the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Angela Bellom Pirrone. She was a retired after 27 years as Administrative Assistant for the Superintendents’ Office for the Wilton Board of Education. Ann was a graduate of the Academy of the Resurrection in Rye, NY, Berkley Business School and Cornell University at SUNY, Purchase. She was also very involved with St. Philip Church in Norwalk as a Eucharistic Minister and intersession writer. Ann also ran the Bereavement Group and was a member of the Society of the Blessed Sacrament, Knitting Ministry and along with her husband was one of the founding members of St. Philip Church. She was also very dedicated to her loving family who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her husband, Ann is survived by her children and their spouses, Gerald and Storm McGuire of Greenville, SC and Mashpee, MA, Susan and Bill Gardella of Easton, Michael and Natalie McGuire of Dallas, TX, Kara and Derek Hann of Monroe, her siblings Anthony Pirrone and Geraldine Sommovigo of Mamaroneck, NY, her loving grandchildren Will, Eric, Ryan, Kathryn, Jerry, Matthew, Brendan, Chase, Madison, Emma and Sophie, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 10 AM at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Pl., Norwalk, with entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Friday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to St. Philip Church.
