Ann Marie (DeFinis) Dustin

Ann Marie Dustin, age 64 of Norwalk, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 with family by her side.  Ann Marie was born May 19, 1953 in Norwalk, CT, to the late Frederick and Ann DeFinis.  She is survived by her brother Fred DeFinis (Betsy); her three sons: Michael Dustin (Sinead); Dennis Dustin (Heather); and David Dustin (Christina); her four grandchildren: Denny, Chase, Tyler and Grace, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

Ann Marie was a lifelong resident of Norwalk, graduating from Norwalk High School in 1971, and went on to do what she wanted most in this world, being a mother.

She devoted her life to her three sons, spending countless hours volunteering for all of their sports leagues, especially Pop Warner Football and Brien McMahon High School Football & Booster Club. She was an auxiliary member of the South Norwalk Boat Club.

Ann Marie began working as a Paraprofessional for the Norwalk Public Schools in 2008 where she was a positive figure in many people’s lives. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved taking part in family traditions, cooking, spending time at the beach, vacationing in Block Island, watching the Yankees, and going to all of her grandson’s games.  Being with her family and friends was what Ann Marie enjoyed most of all. She will be greatly missed by all that had the honor of knowing and loving her.

Calling Hours are Sunday March 4, 2018 from 3pm-7pm at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday March 5, 2018 at 10am at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk.
