October 20, 1932 ~ January 8, 2018 (age 85) 85 Years Old


Anthony Tucciarone, age 85, born October 20, 1932, beloved husband of Angela (D’Acunto) passed away much the way he lived, quietly and with dignity, in Wilton Meadows Convalescent Home on Monday January 8, 2018. Tony was born in Minturno, Italy, son of the late Adolfo and Civita (Riccardelli) Tucciarone.
Tony immigrated to the United States as a very young man with a dream of living an honorable life while building a future for himself and his family.  Tony was the owner of Anthony Tucciarone Mason Contractors,  was a member of the Home Builders Association of CT, and a former Boy Scout Leader, who enjoyed growing his own vegetables, making wine, and caring for his apple orchard along-side his brothers.
In addition to his wife Angela, he is lovingly remembered by his 2 sons, Joseph and his wife Barbara, and David Tucciarone, 2 adored grandchildren who were the light of his life, Samantha Torrano (Danny) and Anthony Joseph (aka AJ), his brothers and sisters, Vincent, Matthew, and Victoria Treglia, his sisters-in-law, whom he loved as if they were his own sisters, Mary Lostumbo, Ida Everson, Asunta Snell (Noel), and Lidia Patton, Nancy D'Acunto, brother-in-law Tony DiMeglio, his many cousins, and dozens of nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.   Tony was predeceased by his brother Michael, his sister Raphaela Spagnuolo, his sister-in-law Rita DiMeglio, and brother-in-law Philip D'Acunto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 12 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church, 669 West Avenue, Norwalk. Entombment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. The family request that donations may be made to The American Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1450 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511.
