Ask The Director
Christopher Charles Holmes, 28, passed unexpectedly on September 17, 2018. Chris was the beloved son of Michelle McNerney and Charles Holmes III.
In his youth, Christopher most enjoyed acting in the Crystal Theater and perfecting his downhill skiing abilities while growing up in Norwalk, Connecticut. He went through the Norwalk school system, graduating from Norwalk High School in 2008. While he started his college career at the University of California, Santa Barbara, he graduated from Cornell University School of Labor and Industrial Relations in 2012.
Chris was passionate about writing, and he was a voracious reader. He was extremely knowledgeable about media relations and politics. His interests led him to 4 years of employment at Penguin Random House in New York City, and he recently moved to Washington DC for a job opportunity at POLITICO magazine.
Chris had a yearning to travel and understand the world, using the first two years after college to live, work and explore Barcelona, Spain, Mumbai, India, and Berlin, Germany extensively.
Chris was an incredible brother to his twin sister Rachel Holmes Foreit and her husband Jason Foreit, and a larger-than-life superhero to his little brothers Matt and Ryan Holmes. Chris was also treasured by his 21 first cousins, his many aunts and uncles, and friends from around the globe. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Richard and Kathleen McNerney and Charles and Mary Jane Holmes.
Friends may greet the family on Friday September 21, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk, CT. A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday.
