Clorinda (Trofa) Pisco

December 6, 1923 ~ March 15, 2017 (age 93) 93 Years Old

Clorinda (Trofa) Pisco, passed away of natural causes in the early morning hours on March 15th at Norwalk Hospital. She was born on December 6th, 1923 in Fontana D' Ischia, Italy, to the humble family of Florindo and Marianna (Mattera) Trofa. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother (Nonna) to her family and was infamous for feeding everyone that came to visit. In May of 1969, she and her husband, Renato, along with 4 children embarked on the SS Raffaello and came to make a new life in the United States. Landing in New York, they had a quick stop over in Rhode Island before deciding to make the town of Norwalk their new home. Aside from raising her four children, she was able to work several jobs through the years; Swank, Beldoch & Dominic Decorating were some companies that were able to take her in and use her talents as a seamstress. She was very strong in the Roman Catholic Faith and supported her local Churches which she walked to very often. Periodically she would go back and visit her homeland of Ischia, Italy, continuing to keep the family overseas close to her with great care and love. With passions for cooking, gardening, sewing and knitting, she was infamous for making cream puffs, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Renato, daughters Rosalia (Frank), Anna (Gaetano), Lidia (Roy) and her son Luciano (Brenda), a brother Pasquale (Mercede) Trofa of Wilton CT, and her sister, Carmelina Trofa of Italy, as well as multiple grandchildren (Dan, Frank Jr. Alexandra, Steven, Teresa & Ellie) and great-grandchildren (Colby & Jessie). She was predeceased by siblings Celestine, Mercede, Assunta and Giovanni Trofa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 22nd at 10:30AM at St. Ladislaus Church, 25 Cliff St., Norwalk with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
