Debra Ann Shatas

Debra Ann Shatas (Debbie), age 63 passed away on Wednesday January 24, 2018 in Norwalk Hospital. Debbie was born in Stamford on August 3, 1954, daughter of Edward P and Antoinette M (Vizzo) Shatas.

Debbie graduated from Mother of God Academy in Stamford and attended Norwalk Community College. She was especially bright in math and loved to tutor family and friends. She worked as a cashier at Stop and Shop and Walmart. At home she loved playing backgammon tournaments on her computer, and was a die-hard fan of the New York Yankees. Debbie loved her friends, her sisters, and mostly her mom. She was grateful for every little thing that came her way. She will be missed more than she could have ever imagined.

In addition to her parents, Debbie is survived by 2 sisters and brother in laws, Kathy and Alex Totino and Joan and Mike Ragusa, and nieces and nephews, A.J. Totino, Kelly (Totino) Antonacci, Steven Totino, Michael Ragusa, and Noelle Ragusa.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, February 2 at 10 am, at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. There will be no calling hours.
