Eileen (Connery) Rogers

     Eileen Connery Rogers, age 93 of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Saturday, April 15.  She was the wife of the late F. Emmett Rogers.  Eileen was born in Norwalk on October 31, 1923, the daughter of the late Paul R. and Ann Dargan Connery.  She was also predeceased by her daughter Eileen Marie Rogers and her siblings William, Edward, Richard and Nancy Connery.  Eileen was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family.  She enjoyed going to flea markets and working with her hands on various crafts.  She also loved living in the Broad River Homes and the daily interaction with her dear friends.    

     Eileen is survived by her daughters Mary A. Rogers and her husband Rob Reiber of Lincoln, VT, and Bridget Dudas and her husband Glen of Norwalk, her grandchildren Cybelle, Abe, Auti, Melissa and Douglas, her great grandchildren Gavin, Maeve, Axcie, Sasha and Colin, and many nieces and nephews.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 19, 10 AM at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Pl., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Eileen’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home today (Tues.) from 4-7 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital., 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN, 38105 (www.stjude.org).  For directions or to leave an online condolence, please go to www.magnerfuneralhome.com
