Elizabeth A. (Desposito) Burton

Elizabeth A. Burton, age 90 of Norwalk passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at home.  Elizabeth was born in Flushing, New York, on June 3, 1927, beloved daughter of the late Louis and Margaret (Lynch) Desposito. She had worked for the Northrop Grumman Corporation as a Registered Nurse. Elizabeth also served as an Intensive Care Unit nurse at Booth Memorial Hospital in Flushing, Queens.  Above all, she was a devoted mother, an adoring grandmother, a loving sister and daughter, and a cherishing aunt to the McGuires, the Verdebers and the Despositos. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Cynthia Burton, Leslie Burton, Celeste Burton, Paul Burton and Neil Burton, a sister Margaret Hurley, 5 grandchildren, John and Luke Cofer, Kent Horsley, Ashton and Avery Burton, and several nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother-in-law to Bruce, James, Bob and Genie. In addition to former husband, Paul, she was predeceased by her brothers Lewis and Daniel Desposito and a sister Rose McGuire. Calling hours will be on Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 12 to 3 PM, with a service at 2:30 PM at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, CT, burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
