Jack Clinton Carter

     Jack Clinton Carter, age 77 of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital after a brief illness.  He was the beloved husband of the late Charlene K. Carter.  Jack was born on June 17, 1941 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of the late Rex and Elizabeth Carter.  He lived in Michigan all of his life until moving to Norwalk in 2016.  Jack was an iron worker, an avid fisherman and charter captain on Lake Michigan. He enjoyed bow hunting and loved spending time with his family.

     Jack is survived by his daughters Denise Vuoso and her husband Frank, Michelle Wooten and her husband Glenn, his granddaughters Faith Vuoso and Cloudia Wooten, his sisters Sandra Carter Briggs and Phyllis Olin and many nieces and nephews.  He was also predeceased by his daughter Amy, granddaughter Madison Vuoso and brother Rex M. Carter.

     A funeral service for Jack will be held on Saturday, December 8, 12 noon at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.  Burial in Michigan will be at a later date.  Jack’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 AM until the service begins.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Philip Church, 1 Fr.
