Jack J Falsone

Jack J. Falsone, M.D., age 93 of Westport, died on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home.  Born in Queens, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Cutelli) Falsone, he was the loving husband of the late Anna Mandracchia. After graduating from Columbia University and earning his M.D. from S.U.N.Y.- Long Island College of Medicine in 1947, he served in the US Army Medical Corps (’43-’46) and the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Medical Assoc., as well as CT State, Fairfield County and Norwalk Medical Associations. He was a tireless advocate for AmeriCares, volunteering his time and serving as Medical Director of their free clinic for many years.
Medicine was his life’s calling; he established the Cardio-Pulmonary Laboratory at The Brooklyn Hospital in 1951 and shared his passion by teaching at Yale University Medical School and presenting Grand Rounds and mentoring countless residents and fellows at Norwalk Hospital. 
Predeceased by his brother Anthony Falsone, he is survived by: his daughters Margaret “Meg” Browder and her husband Robert of Pace, FL, and Catherine Swan and her husband Dave of Westport, 3 grandchildren, Allison Messuri-Swan (Nicole), Christina Swan Thomas (Mike) and Jay Browder, USN, 2 great-grandchildren Avery and Parker Thomas, 2 sisters-in-law Elizabeth Falsone and Elaine Mandracchia, and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be held at 10AM on Wed., March 29 at Assumption Church, Westport, with military burial at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-7PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. Memorial donations may be made to:  AmeriCares.org
