James Peter Nicholas

James Peter Nicholas died on September 3, 2017 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He was 74.

James was born on December 10, 1942 in Norwalk, Connecticut to his parents, Peter and Helen

Nicholas. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1960 and served in the United States Air Force

from 1960 to 1964 at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.

He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Rosemary Joyal in 2008. He leaves behind his son

Patrick, daughter-in-law Marni, and beloved grandchildren Alexander and Matthew. He also leaves

behind his brother Paul, sister Mildred Ticar, and long-time loving companion Wendy Heyman. He is

He’ll be remembered by all for his gentle kindness and love of good food and cooking.

Calling hours will be, Saturday,  from 9:00 AM to 9:45 at St. Philip Catholic Church, 1 Father Conlon Place,

Norwalk, CT. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00 AM, with graveside to follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
