Ludwig Bender Speier III

Ludwig Bender Speier, age 79, died on March 8, 2018 at Norwalk Hospital after a long illness. He was a lifetime resident of Norwalk, CT. He was employed by the 7-Up company for several years. He was a lifetime member of the Ferris Hill Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Ben is survived by his son, Benjamin James Speier and daughter-in-law Gabrielle Speier, of Milford, CT and his granddaughter Danielle Speier and great-grandson Ryan Speier, currently living in Florida. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela Brady, of Cape Coral, Florida, his nephew Derek Jacobs of Middlebury, CT and his niece Hayley Perlow, also of Cape Coral, Florida. Numerous great-nieces and great-nephews mourn the loss of their beloved “Uncle Ben.” Ben was pre-deceased by his mother, Veronica Ruth O’Hara Speier and his father, Ludwig Bender Speier. The wake will be held at Magner Funeral Home at 12 Mott Ave in Norwalk, CT on Thursday, March 15 from 4-7pm. The funeral service will be at 10am on Friday March 16 and will be officiated by Father Murphy of St. Thomas Moore in Dairen, CT. Due to church renovations, the funeral service will be held at St. John’s Church, 1986 Post Rd. in Darien, CT.
