Maria Elvira (Caldera) Singewald

     Maria Elvira Singewald, age 89 of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on December 6, 2018.  She was the wife of the late Robert J. Singewald.  Maria was born on April 8, 1929 in Granada, Spain, the daughter of the late Antonio Caldera Fernandez and Eloisa Bullejos Giron and has lived locally for most of her life.  She was an accomplished professionally trained seamstress in Spain and locally and was a great self-taught cook.  Maria also volunteered at Notre Dame Convalescent Home and the Wilton Schoolhouse.  She is survived by her loving daughter Elizabeth Singewald of Norwalk, her sister Augustias DuBois of Montpellier, France and her nephew Antonio DuBois.  Services and interment will be private.
