Mary C. Rueda

Mary C. Rueda, 90 of Norwalk CT, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Medical Center on Friday, November 16, 2018. Mary was the loving wife of the late John P. Rueda. She was born on March 30th, 1928 in NYC, the daughter of the late Manuel and Delfina Sanchez. She is survived by her three children, Robert M. Rueda, Diana M. Rueda and Janet M. Fairchild and her husband David as well as two cherished grandchildren, Daniel and Thomas Fairchild.  She also leaves behind her all day companion and friend, her dog, Nina. Mary was a devoted Catholic who loved her family and having them around her. She enjoyed music and dancing. Up until her retirement, she worked as an Office Manager for NYNEX, NY Telecommunications and Carnell Associates, an Engineering Firm. In her younger days she liked bowling, belonged to Bowling Leagues and won many trophies. She was also an avid reader even at the age of 90. 

A viewing will be held at 9:30-10:30 AM at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, CT,  followed by Mass at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd, Norwalk, CT at 11:00AM on Wednesday, Nov 21. A Christian Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.
