Ralph A. Vittorio

     Ralph A. Vittorio, age 68 of Norwalk, died peacefully with his family at his side, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport on Wednesday, April 26.  He was the husband of Maryann Acanfora Vittorio.  Ralph was born in Bridgeport on March 29, 1949, the son of the late Joseph and Maryann Cennamo Vittorio.  He served for several years in the Army National Guard and was a retired IT recruiter for Aquinas Consulting in Milford.  Ralph enjoyed playing cards, golfing and bowling.  He was an avid NY Yankee fan and also worked a bit locally as an umpire.

    In addition to his wife Maryann, Ralph is survived by his daughter Lisa M. Vittorio-Benegoss and her husband Frank of Monroe, son Joseph Vittorio and his partner Katja Etzold of Bridgeport, brother Albert Vittorio and his wife Annmarie of Wallingford, step-son Jason Williams of Norwalk, grandchildren Jacob, Tyler, Cody, Milani, and Talin, and several nieces and nephews.

    Ralph’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk today (Friday) from 4-8 PM.  A funeral service will begin at 7:15 PM with Pastor Peter Westfield officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 101 Centerpoint Dr, Ste 105, Middletown, CT 06457 (www.diabetes.org) or the American Heart Assoc., 5 Brookside Dr. PO Box 5022 Wallingford, CT 06492 (www.heart.org).
