Renate Elisabeth (Seipp) Ross, 92, of Ridgefield, died on December 28, 2018 at Danbury Hospital. Born in Germany, the daughter of the late Fritz and Auguste (Pullig) Seipp, she worked as a legal secretary for Siemens for over 10 years. A loving and devoted family woman, her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. An avid gardener, she would spend countless hours tending to her garden, sometimes well past sundown. She was also a talented crafter and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, making her dried garden flowers into beautiful cards or creating exquisite candy houses for Christmas. Renate could also be heard gently singing and humming tunes as she worked on her crafts or collected shells or stones from visited beaches.
Renate is survived by her children; Victoria Green of Westport, and Nicholas Ross of Woodstock, NY, son-in-law Todd Green, and three loving grandchildren: Jennifer, Katie and Justin, as well as other beloved relatives in Germany.
Funeral Services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, January 12 at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, with burial at Hillside Cemetery, Wilton. Memorial donations may be made to: Founders Hall, (www.founders-hall.org) where she enjoyed many friendships and activities.
