Richard Thomas Hulbert

Richard “Rick” Thomas Hulbert, 59, of Norwalk, died on June 29, 2018
at Danbury Hospital. Born in Oakland, CA, the son of Richard and the
late Marguerite “Peggy” Molloy Hulbert, he worked as a Union
Carpenter, Local # 279.  Rick was raised in the Bronx, attending St.
Margaret of Cortona School in Riverdale and All Hallows High School.
He was a drummer and founded the band “Coastal Groove” and enjoyed
hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a food aficionado,
hockey and football fan and had an affinity for vintage and nostalgic
items.
Rick is survived by two sons; Richard Francis Hulbert of Fairview, NC,
and Nicholas Eric Hulbert, their mother Maria (Calogero) Hulbert and
her family, nieces and nephews; Catherine, Anthony Jr., Gabby,
Michael, Danielle and Matthew; mother-in-law Caterina Calogero; as
well as Rick’s partner and companion, Rosa Buitron.
His family will receive friends on Thursday July 5, from 5-9 PM at the
Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Funeral Mass will be
held on Friday, at 10 AM at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd,
Norwalk.
